Easter & Some Randoms
Easter was very low-key this year. We went to church and then went out to eat with Mom, Dad, and Jordan. After that, we went out to Meemaw's to see her. We got to visit with Colton for a little while and we had an egg hunt. It was a pretty rainy day but we pushed through and hunted eggs anyway. :)

I mean seriously, how cute are these kids?! |
Tyler has been working on starting his garden the past week or so and Brayden has been out there lending a hand.
Brayden's trampoline has been covered in pollen so I sprayed it off with the hose one day when he wanted to jump on it. Since it was wet I made him take his clothes off and he got to jump in his underwear. He thought it was the greatest thing! I don't know what it is about boys and no clothes!

Helena Waterfall & Colton's Party
The weekend before last was beautiful! We went & ate lunch at one of our favorite places right by the Helena waterfall & then ventured down to play in the water for a little while. This past weekend the weather was pretty dreary but we were super excited about Colton's birthday party! It was at the Heart of Dixie railroad museum and it included a train ride and an Easter egg hunt! It was seriously the best birthday party ever. First we had the party portion in a stationary train car with presents and hot dogs and cake. Then we boarded the train. It took us to a field where there was an Easter egg hunt, bubbles, a bouncy house, tattoos, & the Easter bunny! Brayden loved the Easter bunny! He went running up to him & threw his arms around him & gave him a big hug. Very similar to his Santa Claus reaction. Overall we had a great weekend. We're looking forward to Easter & family time. We're also ready for warm weather!

Date Night, Emma's Party, & a Visit from Bentley
We had another great weekend. Friday night, Tyler and I got to have a date night. That's a pretty rare thing for us just because I don't like to be away from Brayden on the weekend since I work all week and don't get to spend much time with him. (Shh don't tell my husband) We didn't do anything too romantic - just went to Sam's and ate Mexican. :)
Saturday we had Emma's 3rd birthday party. It was a lot of fun. I just love seeing Brayden, Emma, and now Asher play together. Plus Brayden will get a new playmate in July so that'll make family get togethers even more fun!
Sunday just consisted of the usual - church, lunch, nap. But then we got to keep Bentley for an hour or so and loved it! This kid doesn't have much to do with me when Mommy or Nana are around, but when it's just me, she loves me! I think we need to arrange that more often so my self esteem doesn't plummet like it was before. Brayden and Bentley had a great time reading books together and playing in his room. I'm almost positive Bentley didn't even notice her mom was gone, except for the time she said "Where Mommy?" as clear as day. :)
Oh, and just in case you've noticed my pictures always have black on the sides, it's because I take them all on my phone and apparently they have to be turned sideways to show on the blog right. I need to just start using my camera!

Oh Happy Day
Another great weekend is in the books. Great isn't even the word for it. More like magnificent, awesome, miraculous, something like that.
This weekend was beautiful as far as the weather goes. It was a little preview of the beautiful spring that is to come and I can't wait! Saturday was such a pretty day and Tyler was off so we decided to go do some hiking at Mt Cheaha. We invited my mom along and set out on the trek up the mountain. Cheaha is very close to my old stomping ground of Jacksonville/Oxford so it was very nostalgic for me. We went to Cheaha many times while I was in college so it was nice to reminisce. I realized I haven't been back since I graduated almost 6 years ago! A Jacksonville trip is definitely in order soon. Brayden was so good too! If you've ever been to Cheaha, first we went down the boardwalk trail that's obviously very easy to walk down because it's a boardwalk. After that, though, we went up the Pulpit Rock trail. It's pretty rocky but the view at the end is absolutely breathtaking. Brayden did not complain or ask to be held one time! He climbed over those rocks and up a pretty steep hill just like the rest of us. He was so upset when we told him we had to leave and go home. He would have stayed all day - he just loves to be outside.
Now for the best part of the weekend:
My husband got baptized Sunday! This was a huge day for our family. I don't want to compromise his privacy and say too much but I had given up hope of this ever happening. God is still in the miracle business folks. You just have to be faithful in prayer and never give up. Our lives have changed so much because of this and I'm excited to see what He's going to do through us now and especially through my husband. He has quite a testimony so I hope he shares it with people.
